Choosing a vegan beauty brand has never been easier now KVD is launching in Boots
In January of this year, Kat Von D – the tattoo artist turned beauty brand maven – stepped away from her makeup brand Kat Von D Beauty so she could pursue other artistic projects.
‘This past year has been one of great change for me. As many of you know, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, launched my vegan shoe line, and am now busy prepping to release my long-awaited album in the spring, followed by an international tour! As much as I wish I could balance all of this, on top of continuing my makeup line, it has become clear to me that I just can’t do everything at the maximum capacity.Kat Von D
With that said, I’ve decided to step down as founder (and from all other capacities) of Kat Von D Beauty, and sell my shares of the brand, turning it all over to KENDO, my partners for the past 12 years. This was not an easy decision, but after careful consideration, I decided I wanted the makeup line to continue to thrive and grow, and KENDO is primed to do just that.’
I personally cannot wait to see the shoe line.
The departure leaves KENDO as the sole owner of the brand, which has relaunched as KVD Vegan Beauty. Same products, same commitment to vegan and cruelty-free practices but now, a new distribution partnership.
Happily for UK fans of the brand, KVD Vegan Beauty will be available at Boots stores nationwide and online from 25 March.
‘As inclusivity is at the core of KVD Vegan Beauty, we wanted to make the brand more accessible, and Boots is the perfect retail partner to make that happen.
MaiLy Kopatsy, Vice President, Global General Manager of KVD Vegan Beauty
We are thrilled to be launching into Boots and are proud of the partnership that we have formed in order to bring premium, vegan and cruelty-free beauty to the high street.’
At least now we’ll be looking sharp for those video conferencing calls!
