Fresh Start in the Ring

Tony used to live in a three bedroom house with his foster mother. When she passed away in 2000, the council decided to evict him. He ended up homeless as he had no other family and nowhere to go.

This is his story.

‘I didn’t know what to do or where to go.’

Tony’s situation led to him suffering from anxiety and other mental health issues. With the help of the Northampton Hope Centre, Tony has been able to get back on his feet. They have helped him gain important qualifications as well as helping him find accommodation. They also introduced him to boxing as a way of managing his health problems.

This has changed his life.

For the month of December, we’re bringing you a series of videos from Homeless Stories, a film initiative that tells the stories of the men and women who end up homeless and the charities that support them.

We spoke to the founders, Glenn and Dave, to learn more.
