Psychologists found years ago that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. So if you adopted a healthy lifestyle for 21 days, then on day 22 you’d emerge with a new tool, a new habit to be able to live the life you truly want to live.
I don’t want to make it harder for people to adopt healthier habits, I want to make it easier. That’s where The Greenprint was born. There is no perfection. Perfection is the enemy of progress. It’s ok to get started and do one plant-based diet a day or a week or a month. The more you lean into it, the more you will benefit, the animals will benefit, the planet will benefit. Thinking that you’re not going to do anything because you can’t do everything is a disservice to you, your family and the environment.

Habits are handed down from generation to generation. I’ve challenged the idea that disease is hereditary with the idea that habits are hereditary. Habits get you where you are. When you see heart disease run in a family, it’s typically because they eat the same food and have the same patterns of movement. Not due to a genetic condition.
